Login & Registration
There are different methods to log in to Mediabox. For this purpose, the application's own login page can be used, via which a user can register for the first time or already registered users can log in. Furthermore, it is possible to set up customer-specific SSO or LDAP. Customize the login page to meet your needs. You can configure the structure and content of the registration screen or, if you wish, hide the registration option altogether to allow only administrators to register users. Your administrators have appropriate rights to register users. In the registration mask, the user enters data that is required for the subsequent login process. In addition, data is requested that is required for subsequent user administration in censhare.
Search & Filter
Find quickly: Predefined filters and searches simplify users' entry into Mediabox.
Free text search: With the free-text search, requested information is found in seconds. Any restrictions or extensions for finding results can be configured.
Filters: Make it easier to find data using filters. The filter makes use of characteristics that are maintained on the respective assets in censhare. Filter categories are only displayed if there are also assets in censhare that bear the respective characteristics. This provides you with a quick overview of all available data. The number of assets available in a filter category is displayed behind the category in brackets. The entire filtering is displayed as a tree structure, and subcategories can be used to further restrict the search results.
Landingpage-Elements: So-called landing page elements provide users access through predefined searches - e.g. searches that are executed very frequently by multiple users. In this case, an element is assigned an executed and subsequently saved search. The displayed elements can be defined user group specific or can be added together with global elements for all user groups. The landing page elements adapt optically responsively to the screen window size. Their displayed order can be defined by numbering in the configuration.
Search results, views & detailed information
The displayed search results give an asset preview with additional information. It is configurable which information is displayed in the preview.
If the user clicks on an asset, a detailed view is opened in the form of an overlay. Here, in addition to a detailed view of the asset, further information about this asset is also displayed. The information displayed is configurable - almost every feature can be extracted. The following contents are delivered via the detail view displayed in the standard: Asset name, asset ID, file information (image size, color space, dimensions), tags (keywords of the keyword tree).
If desired, e.g. a copyright status can be listed by means of a color indicator - e.g. released/blocked for promotional use.
If an asset is a multi-page document, e.g. PDF or PowerPoint, the detail view offers an insight into all contained document pages. The document can be scrolled through and provides an overview of the number of pages contained in the document. You can also zoom in and out of the document using the integrated asset viewer. The zoom section can be moved individually with the mouse. The alignment can be centered again or reset to the original document size.
Downloads & Sharing
Organize effortlessly: Users can store and manage their desired media in folders and download them in various formats.
Share selectively: Easily share Mediabox shopping carts with third parties via email. Assets can be downloaded or viewed depending on permissions.
Download from search results: Creating a shopping cart is not always necessary. Occasionally, a quick download is needed without pre-saving the selected assets in a shopping cart. Such downloads are possible in Mediabox as an alternative to the shopping cart scheme. The download can be performed for a single asset or for multiple assets marked on the page. A download of all found search results in the bundle is also available. For the download - depending on user group rights - different download variants of a file are provided (e.g. master or preview). Which variant should be downloaded can be determined on the individual assets or for all selected assets.
Download from shopping carts: Create as many shopping carts as you like to create your personal asset selection, which you need more often or want to revisit at a later time. Shopping carts can be downloaded directly after their creation, or at a later time. This is done via a download button on the shopping cart. Assign individual names for your shopping carts. For the download - depending on user group rights - different download variants of a file are provided (e.g. master or preview). Which variant should be downloaded can be determined on the individual assets or for all selected assets.
Share with others or download later: In addition to downloading assets or shopping carts immediately, it is possible to download them at a later time or share the selection with others. The selection can be shared with third parties and sent via email. The user can use the shared link, which is generated as soon as the "Share" button is pressed in the shopping cart overview. The link can be saved by right-clicking and used at a later time. The duration of validity for such a temporary link can be adjusted individually per Mediabox installation. By default, the link is valid for 14 days.
